Who doesn’t like milkshakes? I am weird when it comes to milkshakes. I’m not sure if you’re aware of this but I absolutely DESPISE milk, yup CANNOT stand it. So my love of milkshakes are far and few between. Now don’t get me wrong, I like them every now and again but I have to just tell myself that’s all ice cream or I don’t finish the darn thing!!! So I decided to trick myself and start making “milkshakes” at home that I KNEW I would drink because I wasn’t going to give up the occasional milkshake and feel left out when everyone else was enjoying their milkshakes 🙁 Hehe, so I had to do SOMETHING!!!! The recipe below uses almond milk (that’s the only milk that I will “drink”). Feel free to substitute almond milk with cashew or soy milk, if that’s more your flavor. This recipe is from Autumn Calabrese’s FIXATE cookbook and I modified the recipe a little bit.
1 scoop or packet of Vanilla Shakeology
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup unsweetened Almond Milk
1/2 cup blueberries
1 cup ice cubes
*I also added a squirt of honey and a pinch of cinnamon, for flavor.
