“Pizza’s Here!”

  Some of the best words ever spoken, wouldn’t you agree?! Who doesn’t like pizza? An Italian creation with an American twist. Piping hot pizza covered in grease and cheese and other toppings and let’s not forget the crispy, crunchy crust. Yum!!! I’ve put a healthy twist on this yummy dish. With my stomach issues I cannot have tomatoes and a million other foods, blah! So I have altered the traditional pizza recipe.

What You’ll Need:

-Flat outs or pita bread/pockets
-3 splashes of olive oil
-A few spoonfuls of Ricotta cheese
-A few Mozzeralla pearls or a few spoonfuls
-A generous amount of spinach, kale and arugula (feel free to double up on one if you don’t care for any of the veggies)
-A few pieces of turkey pepperoni and prosciutto 
-3 or 4 cut up pieces of Baby Bella mushrooms
-Cut up pieces of white onions
-Sprinkle of parm cheese
-Aluminum foil
-Baking pan
-Pinch of ground black pepper, basil, oregano & garlic powder
-Pinch of garlic (chopped & minced)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line baking pan with aluminum foil and splash olive oil on foil to prevent sticking.
Place flat out or pita pocket on foil, splash olive oil and put garlic on the “dough”.
Dress flat out or pita pocket with veggies, meat, cheese & herbs.
Splash olive oil on dressed up pizza.
Put in oven and set timer for 10 – 15 min (flat out — it’s really thin and doesn’t take long to cook) or 15 – 18 min (pita pocket). Depending on your oven the pizzas may take less time than this to cook and also it depends on how you like your pizza.
Once timer goes off take pan out and sprinkle parm cheese on top.
*Feel free to alter by taking out or doubling up on ingredients to make to your liking.
