Honey Mustard Pork Chops

Often I like to play around and make my own version of recipes but I found this amazing recipe on www.budgetbytes.com. Honey Mustard Pork Chops! Quick, easy & delicious! Those three things make a great recipe in my eyes.

What You’ll Need:

  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise (I used olive oil based)
  • 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • ⅛ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika (I actually didn’t have any in the house)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Freshly cracked pepper
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 lbs. pork chops (one-inch thick)
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Spoon for mixing
  • Pyrex dish or another cooking dish
  • Paper towels
  • Heavy skillet

Preheat oven to 350 degrees (all depending on your oven — this could be more or less). In the large mixing bowl mix together the mayo, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder and smoked paprika.

Take pork chops out of package and wash them off and pat them dry with a paper towel. Season each side with salt & pepper. Turn on burner to medium with pan on the burner and pour in vegetable oil. Once oil is hot in skillet put two pork chops at a time in the skillet and allow to brown on each side (about 3 to 5 minutes). After the chops are done in the skillet place them in the Pyrex dish and smear the mix that you made above on each side. Repeat the browning of the remaining two pork chops and place in Pyrex dish and smear the remaining mix on each side of the two remaining pork chops.

Place Pyrex dish with the four pork chops covered in the yummy mix into the oven and cook for 30 minutes.  After chops are done, remove and set oven to Broil then place Pyrex dish containing the chops back in the oven and allow to broil for 3 to 5 minutes or until the top surface of the chops are brown.

Take out pork chops out and serve! You can serve this with brown rice or sautéed vegetables. Enjoy and feel free to check out www.budgetbytes.com for more quick & easy recipes.
